Hi there! I’m Alvin, a 26 year old who got laid off from his corporate job, and I’m now enjoying my time furthering my passion for cooking. So here I am, offering private dinner services! I want to bring a new experience to the people I get the privilege of cooking for. I'm a firm believer that good food doesn't always need high quality ingredients or fancy techniques; you can do so much with basic everyday ingredients and simple techniques. With the food that I make, I want people to believe that more refined/elevated dining isn't something impossible for a home cook, it's not something that is out of budget or out of reach; it can be a part of your everday dining experience. With that in mind, there are three main concepts I will adhere to for these dinners:

  1. Ingredients will be affordable

I want people to experience where they could take food, I don't want it to feel like good food hides behind a paywall. The ingredients I choose to use will be product people can see at an average, basic grocery store. I don't want the quality of the ingredients to justify the quality of the dishes

2. Presentation will be approachable

Whatever I make, I want you to look at it, know what you’re about to eat, and be excited to dig in. I never want the food to seem too pretty to touch or too foreign to understand

3. Techniques will be simple

I want the food to be made without requiring any specialized tools or equipment. I want the stuff I make to be able to come out of any standard home kitchen, something you can recreate with a stove, oven and blender.
